Tattoo Removal

The art of tattoos has been around as long as anyone can remember, some of the first records indicate that people were taking part in this rightous act as early as 1300 B.C. Tattooing is done through a process of injecting small amounts of ink into pigment and thus creating a type of “stain” that up until recently (the last decade or so) was a life long commitment.

Several methods have emerged to assist in Tattoo Removal.  It is very important to consult a doctor in choosing which method is best for you. The method the doctor chooses will depend on the coloring of the tattoo as well as the size of the tattoo, and how long the tattoo has been on the skin. Tattoos that have been in place longer often are a little more difficult to remove. Many small tattoos are removed through excisio, which is surgically removing that entire piece of skin, however this is a method limited only to small tattoos. It is very important when considering tattoo removal that you consult a doctor to determine what is the best method for you.
